‘Magic Porridge Pot’ a traditional tale illustrated by Tania Hurt-Newton
Once upon a time there was a little girl who was so poor she often had nothing to eat – she was very hungry a lot of the time. One day she was given an amazing present, a magic pot which made porridge whenever she spoke the special words – she need never be hungry again. But what happens when her mother forgets the words to stop the pot? Why not make some tasty porridge following the instruction cards?

‘Hansel and Gretel’ a traditional tale. (Marks and Spencer book)
When the food runs out at the woodcutter’s cottage, Hansel and Gretel’s wicked stepmother sends them away. But what luck! In the wood the children find a cottage made of sweets: but it’s not all it seems. Watch out for the witch!

‘The Frog Prince’ a traditional tale by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm
The princess loses her favourite toy, a golden ball, in a pond. A kindly frog finds it for her but in return she must promise to let the frog live with her in the palace. She is not very happy about it ….. but maybe there is more to the frog than meets the eye?
